Memorial Day Weekend Mechanics.

So, I did some heavy duty suspension work to the new F-250 this weekend. I removed the old helper/overload springs, installed the new Airlifter 5000 and 4 new heavy duty shocks. The truck had the original shocks and with the truck hailing for Michigan everything was rust welded together so lots of grinding off of parts and I had to go buy an air compressor and pneumatic tools to get the job done. The Airlifter company said it was a 3-4 hour install, It took me three days.. Rust sucks.... However, the truck drives and brakes much better and the swaying with the Lance 845 on the back has disappeared along with the ability to level out the load while driving... It was a lot of work but fun and worth the effort..

They said 3-4 hours on this here box, ummm yea, perhpas on a brand new truck.

This might be part of the problem. And no it's not the cheep beer.

One side done. They mount onto the rear only.

Nice placement of the air pressure gauges.

The F-250 makes the Tacoma look like a car... Vroooooooooooom! V-10 baby!

Almost ready to go. Just need the new Class 5 hitch and extension to tow the boat which are in the mail, one more weekend of shop work and we are on the water..
